What is and why does “My village, our network” exist?
The “My village, our network” project was born to fulfil perceived needs related to development and/or strengthening of the youth from rural areas of Vojvodina and North Albania for community activism by empowering them to use digital skills in order to address important issues in their communities and enabling them to connect with youth from the other country for the exchange of ideas and blog portal development.
Positive change is possible only through comprehensive and a proactive approach and that can be done with young people who want to learn and then to invest their time and knowledge in development of their multicultural and multiethnic area through tourism development, community activism, social entrepreneurship and by raising awareness about positive examples.
What are we looking for?
“My village, our network” is an intensive learning three day training aiming at increasing skills and readiness to lead by sharing and acquiring best practices and improving leadership and digital skills.
We are looking for 12 highly motivated and active youth (18-30 years old), high school and college students and young professionals alike, with sufficient command of English, who are socially active and come from rural communities and municipalities of Vojvodina and northern Albania who want to participate in a challenging learning event.
When and Where?
My village our network will take place on two locations at the same time:
In Novi Sad, Serbia, from 13th to 15th of August 2017.
In Shkoder, Albania, from 13th to 15th of August 2017.
All costs are covered, but what do they cover?
This project is financed by the OSCE Mission to Serbia within the framework of the project, “Enhancing regional connectivity among Serbian and Albanian youth actors” which aims to support youth actors from Serbia and Albania in engaging in connectivity, co-operation, and dialogue. All costs relevant to participation in the project will be covered by the OSCE Mission to Serbia, which includes:
- accommodation;
- catering (3 meals per day + coffee breaks);
- transport for all participants;
- and some social activities.
