Lepusha – Kelmend 
Lepusha is considered to be one of the wonders of the Kelmendi Environment and a pearl of the Albanian Alps. The Valley of Lepusha is one of the natural monuments of Albania. In the area of the Cursed Highlands the Sheniku Pinnacles rise like elegant peaks of shining silver because of the carbonate stones and the eternal snow. Lepusha valley, on the other hand, has surprising soft forms and magnificent pastures.
Although this region has a lot to offer for tourists – like hunting, trekking and hiking, studying medicinal herbs or visiting caves – until now there are no hotels or other facilities for tourists. The mountain people have a long tradition of hospitality and receive every foreigner in their houses, providing accommodation and food.
Pulaj – Velipoje
The coastal area of Pulaj Village stretches from east to west. It is characterized by the sandy shores of Buna River which joins Shkodra Lake with the Adriatic Sea. Velipoja area has about 11 km of coastline. It includes Franc Josefi Island which is frequently changing its shape; at present it is joined to the coast by a bar of sand.
Private accommodation has been improved to a considerable degree. There are many restaurants offering fish specialities as well as international meals, especially Italian dishes.
Razma – Shkrel
A The territory of Razma is situated at a height of about 900 to 1,000 meters above sea level. Mount Velecik (1,724 m), Kunore (1,713) and the Crown of Zagora (1,862) build up a very attractive mountainous scenery. Some people in the region still wear traditional clothes that had already been worn about 3,000 years ago during Illyrian times. The houses of Razma are famous for their simple and clear architectonic design.
It is a very potential place at many kinds of tourism, for example: Trekking and Hiking, Bird- and animal watching, Hunting, Visiting Caves, Riding, Sport activities, Skiing, Weekend tourism. There are some camps for football and basketball and facilities for billiards and table-tennis.
Shishtavec – Kukes
The way from Kukes down to Shishtavec offers amazing views: very steep slopes along the small river Luma, outfalls like the outfall of Vana similar to a labyrinth with many hard passages and intricate arrangements. River Lumi begins in Shishtavec. Near Topojani Brdige there is a beautiful waterfall. The way up to the village is bordered by beautiful pastures.
The contrasts of eternal snow on the top of some of the mountains in the surroundings of Shishtavec and the multi-color flowers on the pastures at the same time are a special natural attraction in this region.
Terbuni – Puke
This area is especially attractive because of different types of landscape. Highlands and valleys, mountain gorges and high peaks, forests of beach- and pine-trees and fields covered with numerous miscellaneous flowers and herbs offer marvellous views.
The climate in the Highlands of Terbuni is considered to have a curative effect through recreational activities, especially in the case of diseases of the nerves and of the heart. Besides it has a very positive effect on the human metabolism due to the influence of pine-tree and beech forests that produce a certain mixture of aerosol.
Boga – Malesi e Madhe
Boga Valley is very interesting for those who like nature, plants and animals. Until today wild animals such as chamois, badger, wolf, wild cat, wild boar and rare birds like patridge, golden eagle, stock dove, wild rooster and forest hen can be observed during walks around the valley. Many endemic plants can be collected in the valley.
Because of its fresh air, its agreeable climate and its fantastic rocky landscape this valley it can be frequented by the people who are searching for a quiet place, to relax and enjoy the nature.
Valbone – Tropoje
The National Park of Valbona Valley is situated 30 kilometers north-west to Bajram Curri. It has a surface of about 8,000 hectares. This park is considered as a miracle of the Albanian Alps. In fact, during each season of the year there are fantastic colourful views full of surprises, a beautiful and clear nearly unspoilt nature.
The configuration of the park, the forests and pastures, the rivers and alpine lakes, the miscellaneous flowers, the characteristic houses and the hospitality of the inhabitants altogether create unique conditions for tourism of all kinds, such as: Recreation, Adventure tourism, Mountain climbing, Fishing, Trekking, Skiing, Riding, Hunting.
Kunora – Mirdite
The mountain “Mali i Kunores” (2,121 m high) is the boundary between Lura (Dibra) and Mirdita in the Northern Albania. This mountain seems to cuddle two pearls of Albanian nature: the “Seven Lakes of Lura” in the north-east and the source called “Kroji i Bardhe”, the “White Source”, situated at the south-western part of this mountain, in the Mirdita territory.
The landscape around Kroji I Bardhe is of a fascinating beauty: forests of beech-trees, pine-trees and oak-trees, green pastures and the limestone rocks, the pure air and the crystal water of Kroji I Bardhe are the perfect environment for relaxation and recovering health conditions.
Lekbibaj- Tropoje
Lekbibaj, located in Tropoja area, is one of the most attractive points in our Alps. The road to there is a miracle in it’s own, because includes sailing on Koman’s lake, Drini river, Fierza’s Lake etc. Travelling into the heart of the Alps through that labyrinth, makes it worthy to try it.
You can then also enjoy the rich Nature, full of endemic plants and some animals which is merged in a wonderful way with the inhabitants culture and treditions. Everyone will find an opened door here.
Thethi- Shkoder
Thethi is located in the North of Shkodra, only accessible by jeep from Shkodra or by foot (7-8 hours hike) from Valbona. Theth is known for its outstanding natural beauty and its remoteness. The well-known traveler Edith Durham said about Theth: “I think no place where human beings live has given me such an impression of majestic isolation from all the world.” Durham described Theth as a “bariak” of some 180 houses and also observed that it was almost free from the tradition of blood feud, which so blighted other parts of the Albanian highlands.
Places of interest might be: the lock-in tower, the story about the Kanun (traditional Albanian law), waterfalls, the windmill, a home stay in a typical Albanian house with traditional food and amazing hikes around the National Park.
