The Alps are an important reservoir for biodiversity, habitat types, species of flora and fauna, home of the main river sources. A number of protected areas and natural and cultural monuments are located in this region.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\" wp-image-214\" src=\"https:\/\/voicealps.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/pamje-5-300x100.jpg\" alt=\"Valbona Valley\" width=\"447\" height=\"149\" srcset=\"https:\/\/voicealps.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/pamje-5-300x100.jpg 300w, https:\/\/voicealps.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/pamje-5-768x256.jpg 768w, https:\/\/voicealps.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/pamje-5.jpg 900w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 447px) 100vw, 447px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>In the Albanian Alps, some areas and natural objects enjoy the status of protection, according to the law &#8220;On the protected areas&#8221; as amended and its regulations, but they do not represent all the natural, historical and cultural values of the region. According to legal provisions in force, protected natural areas in the Alps have been classified as:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>strict natural reserves, category I, Gashi River, with an area of 3,000 ha (1996);<\/li>\n<li>National Park, category II, Thethi, with an area of 2,630 ha (1966), Valbona Valley, the area 8,000 ha (1996)<\/li>\n<li>and as monuments of nature, category III.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-215\" src=\"https:\/\/voicealps.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/pamje-8-300x100.jpg\" alt=\"pamje 8\" width=\"447\" height=\"149\" srcset=\"https:\/\/voicealps.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/pamje-8-300x100.jpg 300w, https:\/\/voicealps.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/pamje-8-768x256.jpg 768w, https:\/\/voicealps.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/pamje-8.jpg 900w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 447px) 100vw, 447px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Similarly, a considerable number of species of flora and fauna have protection status, which are included in the Red Book, according to the IUCN classification (International Union for Conservation of Nature), pursuant to Law no. 9587, dated 07.20.2006 &#8220;On the protection of biodiversity&#8221;, as amended.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft  wp-image-216\" src=\"https:\/\/voicealps.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/pamje-7-300x100.jpg\" alt=\"pamje 7\" width=\"447\" height=\"149\" srcset=\"https:\/\/voicealps.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/pamje-7-300x100.jpg 300w, https:\/\/voicealps.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/pamje-7-768x256.jpg 768w, https:\/\/voicealps.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/pamje-7.jpg 900w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 447px) 100vw, 447px\" \/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Alps are a unique area of rare natural beauty in Albania, because they constitute a major ecological, economic, cultural,&hellip;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":0,"parent":0,"menu_order":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","template":"","meta":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v20.3 -
